Programs
Our programs aim to establish a supportive community for those who have experienced loss due to violence. We strive to promote healing, hope, and resilience while providing a safe space for families to honor the memory of their loved ones.
Peer Support Groups
Peer support groups for traumatic grief can be beneficial for individuals who have lost a loved one due to a violent crime. These groups offer a safe space for individuals to share their experiences and emotions with others who have gone through similar situations. Participants can receive validation and understanding from their peers, reduce feelings of isolation, and learn coping skills to help them navigate the grieving process. These groups are typically led by trained Grief Educators and offer a variety of activities and discussions aimed at promoting healing and resilience.
Grief Counseling
Grief counseling with a licensed therapist is available for adults and children. This service provides a safe and confidential space for individuals to process and cope with the emotional and psychological challenges that come with grief after a traumatic event. The Grief Counselors will work with clients to develop coping mechanisms and develop healthier ways of managing their emotions. Sessions may include techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprogramming (EMDR), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Trauma-focused therapy. Overall, the aim of counseling for traumatic grief is to help clients navigate their individual journey and move towards healing and recovery.
Community Events
Our mission is to support those navigating traumatic grief, through a series of events, including back-to-school drives, grief camps, and wellness retreats. Our initiatives seek to raise funds for these important causes and make a difference in the lives of those struggling with loss due to gun violence. These events will provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to connect with with others who understand. Back-to-school drives provide necessary supplies for children who have lost a parent or caregiver. Grief camps and wellness retreats offer healthy ways for children, teenagers, and adults to work through their grief and connect with others who have similar experiences.

Grief Education
The grief educator training program offers participants the opportunity to engage in experiential learning exercises, practice skills in a safe environment, and receive feedback. A licensed therapist provides guidance on supporting individuals who are grieving, including strategies for active listening, empathy, and creating a safe space. Upon completion, participants will have the knowledge and skills to provide effective support and receive a certificate of completion to demonstrate their expertise.
